!!::::!!he is the supreme commander of Indian armed forces as per the Constitution of India........
But he acts on the behest of recommendation of Parliament Committee on defence which is headed by Prime Minister.

{ref .: art .53(2)}.
certain acts can not be done by the president without approaching parliament for sanction ,e.g acts which involves the expenditure of money {ref .: . 114(3)}, such as the raising ,training and maintained of defence force.
