In the year 1948, Indian government introduced Minimum Wages Act, and as per the Act, any organization found giving less than the minimum wages, will be treated as taking work from forced labour. Wages Board were set up and asked to revise the minimum wages from time to time. The wages announced by boards are bounding on private sectors and public sectors. There are some categories such as skill, semi-skilled, skilled categories.
