Hey mate..
-------------
A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. It is an optical illusion caused due to Total Internal Reflection. It occurs during summers and especially in deserts.
In cold deserts the frozen surface of earth is very cold and thus the layer of air very near to the frozen surface becomes cold and dense. It is called looming.
