Mirror formula is the relationship between object distance (u), image distance (v) and focal length (f).

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

It is a relationship that combines image distance ,object distance and focal length of the mirror .

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

Here u=object distance as measured from pole of the mirror and V=image distance and f being the focal length of the mirror.
