Mirror formula is relationship that combines image distance ,object distance and focal length of the mirror . Expression for mirror formula is 1/u+1/v=1/f. Here u=object distance as measured from pole of the mirror and V=image distance and f being the focal length of the mirror.

 \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{v}   +  \frac{1}{u}

where f = focal length of the spherical mirror,

v = distance of image from the pole of the spherical mirror and,

u = distance of object from the pole of the spherical mirror
