Explanation:

mitochondria is a part of cell . Also called as power house of cell. It is because it stores energy in the form of ATP (andenosine triphosphate) molecules.it is a cell organelle which is present in both animal and plant cells. It have two member coverings instead of just one. The outer membrane is very porous while the inner membrane is deeply folded. Mitochondria are strange organelles in the sense that they have their own DNA and ribosomes. Therefore, mitochondria are able to make some of their own protein.
