Mixtures are of two types :-

• Heterogeneous
• Homogeneous

Heterogeneous :-

In this type of mixture constitutes can be easily seen by naked eyes, e.g. the mixture of oil and water, chalk and sand, etc.

Homogeneous :-

In this type of mixture constituents cannot be seen separately, e.g. the mixture of salt and water.

Mixtures can be a solid-solid mixture, gas-gas mixture, liquid-liquid mixture, solid-liquid mixture, liquid-gas mixture or gas-solid mixture.
