Lynching is a premeditated extrajudicial killing by a group. It is most often used to characterize informal public executions by a mob in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate a group. ... Instances of lynchings and similar mob violence can be found in every society.

Ah Mob Lynching!

Its our favourite sport right now. If its added in Olympics, we will seriously give tough competition to everyone. Many champions in this game are ministers now. Its an honorable profession and we have recently honored a few champions in the office of “Bombay Stock Exchange”. A few Mob Lynching warriors were recently feted by a Union Minister.

Let me tell you how to play this game:

First select an easy target. Targets wearing skull caps are the easiest to chase. Other targets can be JNU students, any political dissenter or anyone with whom you don’t agree.

The target is entrapped.

Then, some one calls, “Beef”, “Beef”. It can be any other word like “anti national”. However, Skull Cap +Beef is the best way to Lynch. Its like you are awarded a penalty kick in Football.

4–5 people starts beating him.

Another 10–15 joins in.

Suddenly, twenty becomes hundred.

The targeted person is killed.

Game Over. Score: Mob: 1, Individual: Well, it was his fault.

This game is becoming popular in India these days, courtesy the strong support Government of India is providing it. However, the government does not know that sometimes the rules of games can be changed suddenly. Crowds can swell to lakhs and then, they can descend upon a minister’s residence. We have seen earlier, a crowd of 2 lacs marching towards Rashtrapati Bhavan in Nirbhaya case.

The government should realize that its not necessary that pioneers of the games will always remains the champion. That’s where the role of education and knowledge of history comes in.
