Answer:

Mode: Mean is the average value that is equal to the ration of sum of values in a data set and total number of values. The most frequently occurring value of the variable.

Explanation:

In the case of continuous series, after determining the modal class, the following formula is used to get the exact value of the mode.

Z = L_{1}  + \frac{fi-foxi}{2f-fo-f2}  × i

Here,

Z = Value of the mode;

L_{1} = lower limit of the modal class;

f_{1} = The frequency of the modal class;

f_{0} =The frequency of pre-modal class;

f_{2} = Frequency of the next higher class or post - modal class;

i = Size of the modal group.

i.e. the value of the variable that happens the most number of times in a data set, is the core definition of Mode.

Mode is the observation with greatest frequency in a series.

i.e., the observation that occurs maximum number of times in the series.

The formula of mode in continuous series is given by

z = l +  (\frac{ f_{1} -  f_{0} }{2 f_{1} -  f_{0} -  f_{2}  } ) \times i

where z >> mode

l >> lower limit of modal interval

f >> frequency of modal interval

f >> frequency of the interval preceding modal interval

f>> frequency of the interval suceeding modal interval

i >> length of modal interval
