☞︎︎︎Mode is the value which occurs most frequently in a set of observations.

☞︎︎︎Simply put, it is the number which is repeated most, i.e. the number with the highest frequency.

☞︎︎︎In the field of statistics, it is an important tool to interpret data in a relevant manner.

☞︎︎︎ Now it is possible for the data set to be multimodal (have more than one mode) which means more than one observation has the same number of frequencies.

Answer:

When a set of observations are given the observation which frequently occurs ( the observation with maximum time of occurrence ) is called Mode of Data

For example

Suppose we have to find mode of

11, 12, 13, 12, 12, 14, 17, 18, 14

Now we rearrange it in ascending order as

11, 12,12,12,13,14,14,17,18

Since 12 occurs maximum 3 times

So mode = 12
