Mohl's half leaf experiment is to prove carbon dioxide is necessary for photosynthesis process.This name is given from the name of the inventor Mohl .
First take a plant and place it where sun rays falls and take a leaf and insert the leaf inside bottle which contains potassium hydroxide KOH and observe after some time . Remove the leaf out and add a drop of iodine solution you man observe that no change in colour and then add iodine to the leaf which is out you may observe that change in colour green to blue , black colours .
Carbon dioxide is necessary in photosynthesis.
