Basically Masses are of the following types :-

Molar Mass - Mass of 1 mole of any species

and expressed in gram/mole.

Ex. Molar Mass of Carbon is 12 g/mol

Atomic Mass - Mass of 1 atom is said to be atomic mass

and expressed in u ( unified mass ).

Ex. Atomic Mass of Carbon is 12 u

Molecular Mass - a type of mass which shows mass of 1 molecule and expressed in u ( unified mass ).

Ex. Molecular Mass of CO2 is 44 u

Extra :

Atomic Mass Unit ( u ) - It's a relative mass quantity.

1u is 1/12th part of C¹² atom.

1 u = 1.66 × 10^-24 gm
