momentum is defined as product of mass of a body and its velocity i.e. measure of the quantity of the motion possessed by a body . 
                    when bodies ( two or more ) acts upon one another and the total momentum remains constant and provided no any external forces are acting on that body .

 the  product of mass of a body and its velocity is called momentum.
some real life applications are
1. Two moving objects  are having both momentum by virtue of their mass and velocity, 
2.it is diificult to stop a fast moving thing
