the momentum is acctually is the quantity of motion of a body that is the measured by the product of mass and velocity of that particular body.
And the momentum does not depends on the both factor that a body must have Much mass as well as velocity. Even if a body has relatively less mass as compared with another which has larger mass and if this body has relatively larger velocity then that body which has larger mass the body can aquire a larger momentum.
Acctually the momentum is denoted by P. And mass M. And velocity V
so p=M×V.
