Momentum is the product of mass and velocity .Momentum is the quantity of motion an object has . Momentum is depend on mass and velocity of an object .It is a vector quantity i.e., it possesses both magnitude and direction .
S.I. unit of momentum is kg m/s

Quantity of motion depend on mass and velocity is known as momentum. Momentum of a body is defined as a product of mass and velocity.
momentum = mass × velocity
p=m×v
SI unit of momentum is kg.m/s
