what is monitor in School?

A class monitor is a person whom a teacher trusts unless he/she was chosen by student vote. And they have to maintain class in silence until the next teacher comes. In case it's a substitution, the deputy class monitor has to either control the class while the monitor goes to call the substitute teacher or the deputy class monitor has to call the substitute teacher.

The deputy has to help the monitor in controlling the class and also has to ensure that in case the class monitor is absent, he/she controls the class.
