pertaining to a flowering plant having a seed with one embryonic leaf (a single cotyledon) is called monocotyledon or simple monocot.
Monocotyledonous root consists of xylem, pith,cambium, epidermis, cortex, endodermis,vascular tissue,pericycle etc.
The pith is large is size and is well-developed.
The xylem consistency varies from 15 to 20.
