I think being right is more important than being popular. Because at the end of the day people see you by your honesty and principles not your fame.

Of course being right is more important than being popular cause being popular will just help u to gain fandom right and even so if u judge anyone they ll follow u blindly but as being right u know u r confident in urself and can tell others what is right or clear urself not like being popular.
