The ever increasing population in all countries have already reduced the forests and open green fields to the minimum. Cities have already been expanding threateningly jeopardizing the ecological balance. If cities’ expansion were not planned systematically, the life support systems would collapse.
Cites should be planned in a manner that will not interfere with the forest covers an open green fields in any manner. It must not be forgotten that both of them are indispensable to get rid of toxic exhalations and waste produced by cities. If cities are allowed to plan unsystematically at the cost of open green fields and forests, the environment will become inhospitable owing to accumulation of toxic fumes and gases.
Open green fields and forests purify the air man breathes. So no more unsystematic expansion of cities should be allowed. Cities should have green belts or open fields around or across them. What the mankind needs is green cities, not unplanned expansion of cities. We will have to develop a system in which open green fields and forests coexist. It will be real heaven if we succeed in making it happen.
