Time & person is much important in history.. We call history as things happened in past.. Past comprises events & persons too.. Just consider a historic event , Neil Amstrong was the first man who step on the surface of the moon.. In this historic event, Neil Am strong is pretty important nd the date he step on moon was 29th july 1969... So like i said, history comprises a person & a date...

I think events are more important. Because events make the dates and persons important.
