MOTION :

When an object changes its position over time, the. it is said to be motion.

  • There are three laws of motion.
  • There are 4 types of motion. They are :- i) Rectilinear motion. ii) Circular motion. iii) Periodic motion. iv) Rotational motion.

i) \large\underline\mathrm\blue{Rectilinear \: motion \: :-}

When the motion is in a straight line, then it is known as rectilinear motion.

ii) \large\underline\mathrm\blue{Circular \: motion \: :-}

When an object is moving in a circular path then it is said to be in circular motion.

iii) \large\underline\mathrm\blue{Periodic \: motion \: :-}

The motion that repeats after the regular interval of time is known as periodic motion.

iv) \large\underline\mathrm\blue{Rotational \: motion \: :-}

When an object moves in a fixed axis then it is said to be rotational motion.
