A body is said to be in motion when it is changing its position with respect to some Stationary object.
For ex :- Moving bus ,pushing a door etc.
There are two types of motion :-
◆Uniform motion :-
If a body cover equal distance in equal interval of time ,then the motion is called Uniform motion.
For example :- a bus is moving at straight line without changing its velocity or say car is running at constant speed of 10meter per second.
◆Non-Uniform Motion :-
When a body covers unequal distance in equal interval of time, then the motion is called Non-Uniform Motion.
For example :- If a ball is falling from building ,we will find that it covers unequal distance in equal interval of time.
