When a body moves or changes its position with respect to time and reference point is said to be Motion.

Again,

Motion is divided into two criteria :-

1. Uniform Motion=> When a body covers equal distance in equal interval of time, it is said to be In uniform motion. For example :- Suppose a body is moving with velocity 1m/s for 5 sec, it means that body covers 1 meter distance in each second.

2. Non-uniform Motion=> When a body covers unequal distance in equal time interval, it is said to be In Non-uniform Motion. For example :- Suppose a body is moving with 1m/s for the 3 seconds and changes it velocity in 2 seconds which is 2m/s. For the first a body was moving 1 meter distance in each second but when it changes it velocity it covers 2 meter distance in each second.
