Motion-
The change in position of an object with respect to a reference point in changing time is called motion.

For example - A car moving on a road possesses motion. A moving train with respect to station.

Hi. An object is said to be in motion if it changes its position with respect to a fixed stationary reference point. Similarly, An object is said to be at rest if it doesn't change its position with respect to a fixed stationary reference point. Motion and reference are relative terms. An object in motion may not be in motion for all people. For example, You and your friend are sitting in a train. You both are stationary for each other but for the people outside the train, you are in motion. This means that motion and rest are relative terms. Hope it helps.
