distance - it is The length of space between 2 points
Displacement - it is the shortest distance between 2 points

Motion:an object is said to be in motion when it changes it's position with respect to it's surroundings.
Distance:the distance travelled by a body is the actual length of the opath covered by a moving body.
Displacement:the shortest path (stragiht line)between the initial and the final position.It is a vector quantity.
