Mucosa is the innermost layer of alimentary canal. It is made by 3 layers.
1) Epithelium
2)Lamina propria of reticular fibrous connective tissue.
3) Muscularis mucosa, which further has division i.e. Circular and longitudinal layer.
→In oesophagus it has Multilayered Epithelium.
→In stomach it has simple columnar glandular
epithelium,forms Gastric gland.
→In duodenum it is made up of simple columnar glandular brush border epithelium,forms blunt villi.
→In jejunam and ileum, Scgbbe forms Long pointed villi. It has paneth cells and payers patches.
