Heya !!
→Mucosa is the innermost layer of alimentary canal. It is made by 3 layers.
1) Epithelium
2)Lamina propria of reticular fibrous connective tissue.
3) Muscularis mucosa, which further has division i.e. Circular and longitudinal layer.
→In oesophagus it has Multilayered Epithelium.
→In stomach it has simple columnar glandular epithelium,forms Gastric gland.
→In duodenum it is made up of simple columnar glandular brush border epithelium,forms blunt villi.
→In jejunam and ileum, Scgbbe forms Long pointed villi. It has paneth cells and payers patches.

It is nothing but the mucus layer which prevents the stomach from acidity caused by over production of HCl
