Muller organ: A group of numerous scolopophores forming a swelling; in Acridoidea, applied to the inner surface of each tympanum and connected by the auditory nerve to the metathoracic ganglion.

In Acrididae, this term is applied to theauditory organ which forms the innersurface of each tympanum and connected by the auditory nerve to themetathoracic ganglion. Grasshopper is an important example of the insects having the Muller's organ. A few Locusts and crickets are also known to have the Muller's organ.
