In agriculture, multiple cropping is the practice of growing two or more crops in the same piece of land in different growing seasons. It is a form of polyculture.

Multiple cropping system is the practice for the growth of more than two number of crops in same land during the period of single growing season.

EXPLANATION:

Types of Multiple cropping system:

  • Sequential cropping: Sequential cropping refers to grow crops in sequence within a crop year.    
  • Intercropping: Intercropping is one of the farming method which is involving the “planting or growing” of crops more than one at a same time and on same land.
