When two or more mirrors are kept side to side or opposite to each other multiple reflection takes place.the forst image is formed due to reflection of first mirror.the second image is formed due to reflection of second mirror and the third image is formed at the edge where the 2 morror meet due to the reflection of both first and second mirror.thus we can say that out of three images two are formed due to single reflection and 1 is formed due to double reflection
