Answer:

myopia is a defect of vision where a person is unable to see distant objects

It is due to

1. big eyeballs

2.high converging power of lens

hypermetropia is a defect of vision where a person is unable to see nearby objects.

It is due to

1. short eye balls

2.weak converging power of eye lens

correction of myopia: concave lens ( diverges light rays)

Answer:

near sightedness means when we can't see the far objects but can see nearby objects called myopia.

It's causes are:

  1. due to elongation of eye ball
  2. due to decrease in focal length of eye lens

it can be corrected by using concave lens

long sightedness means when we are not able to see our nearby objects but can see the the far objects called hypermetropia

it's causes are :

  1. focal length of eye lens is too long
  2. eyeball becomes too short

it can be corrected by using convex lens
