when pentavalent impurities(ex: phosphorus,arsenic)are doped into the pure semi conductor the n- type semiconductor is formed

When the impurity present is of a pentavalent element like Phosphorus,  arsenic, the semiconductor is n type. There is presence of an extra free electron which increases conductivity.
