What Is NAM?Who was introduced the non alignment movement and what is the use of that?

Non Alignment Movement is a group of states that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. NAM was formed during Cold War and introduced by Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito.
The main necessity of this policy was to maintain world peace and security.

Non - aligned movement is the policy of a sovereign state according to which it does not align itself with any of the power blocs and at the same time actively participates in international cooperation , harmony etc.

The aims or objectives of NAM are as follows :

To eliminate all causes which could directly or indirectly lead to war .
To build NIEO ( New International Economic Order .
To protect human rights.
To promote scientific culture .
To preserver culture and traditions.
To strengthen world peace.
To strengthen U.N .
To discourage rearmament.

NAM had these features :

It was opposed to any military alliance .
It opposed racialism .
It meant active participation rather passiveness.
It promoted international peace .
