Vishravas (Brahman Rishi) was the father of Ravana. He first married a Brahman Woman, who gave birth to Kubera, the Lord of wealth.

Later, Tataka's Daughter Kekasi, wooed Vishravas into marriage, and they begot three sons, Ravan, Kumbakaran and Vibeeshan.
