naoh is also called sodium hydroxide or caustic soda it is basic in nature it is used for degreasing metals and also used in paper and soap manufacturing....
it can be obtained by the aqueous solution of brine(Nacl+H2O)
Nacl+H2O gives NaOH+Cl2+H20
