Napoleanic code
- The civil code of 1804 usually known as the "Napoleonic Code".
Under this code,
- Allprivileges based on birth.
- Established equality before law.
- Secured the right to property.
- In the towns too, guild restrictions were removed.
- This code was exported to the regions under french control.
- Transport and communication systems were improved.
- Peasants , artisans and workers enjoyed a new found freedom.
