Napoleon code (also known as code Nepolèon )

is the French civil code established under Nepoleon 1 in 1804.

This code was written by four judges to replace the different kind of laws in different places.

After four years of debate and planning, French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte enacts a new legal framework for France, known as the “Napoleonic Code.” The civil code gave post-revolutionary France its first coherent set of laws concerning property, colonial affairs, the family and individual rights.

The Napoleonic Code is the French civil code established under the French Consulate in 1804. It was drafted by a commission of four eminent jurists and entered into force on 21 March 1804.
