Answer:

This we can say indirect speech or reported speech. ... There are some major rules to change these speeches from direct to indirect. We need to consider the tense, pronoun, words that describe time, place, distance, types of sentences, etc.

Answer:

narration is the art of reporting the words of a speaker. there are two ways of expressing the speech of the speaker.

  • direct speech
  • indirect speech

direct speech

it includes repetition of the words of the speaker as they have been said. these words are kept in inverted commas.

example - john said to me, " i will help your sister".

in the above sentence, the actual or exact words of the speaker are presented. this speech is called direct speech.

indirect speech

when the words spoken by a person are put in your own words, it is called indirect speech.

example - geeta said," i want to become a doctor". (direct)

geeta said that she want to become a doctor. (indirect)
