NCC is a Indian military cadet corps and youth development programme meant for students at school/college level.

The National Cadets Corps came into existence under the National Cadet Corps Act XXXI of 1948

Motto of NCC is एकता और अनुशासन or Unity and Discipline.

Their aim is to instil patriotism and discipline, leadership and the spirit of adventure ,develop character and persona, encourage secular outlook in young people and provide an environment to inspire youth to take up military service.

NCC day is observed on 4th sunday of November of every year.

A student enrolled in NCC is known as a 'Cadet'.

No fees is to be paid to be enrolled in NCC. (Though, a little amount is taken as a contribution to the cadet welfare society and yearly subscription.)
