Nationalism in India is a concept which was built during the Indian movement of Independence against the British rule.
It represents territorial nationalism, which is inclusive of all individuals irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion, race etc.
The idea of Indian nationalism was introduced by Bal Gangadhar Tilak known as the father of Indian nationalism.
The year 1885 witnessed the formation of an Indian National Congress at Bombay, which was led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920.
