Answer :

Natural Gas

Natural gas is also a fossil fuel. Usually this gas occurs above the surface of petroleum deposits deep beneath the earth but sometimes it can also be found at places where there are no petroleum deposits. The crude form of natural gas is a mixture of different gases. The main component of natural gas is methane, which is inflammable and is used as a fuel. India has vast reserves of natural gas in Assam, Truipura, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, the Krishna Godavari Basin and the Cauveri Basin.

It is said that natural gas was formed by the decomposition of petroleum and coal deposit by the action of the anaerobic bacteria. Natural gas burns readily in the presence of air to liberate a large amount of heat. This makes it an excellent fuel for domestic and industrial use. It burns without smoke and does not leave any ash behind. Natural gas obtained from the ocean floor can be easily transported through pipes over long distances. It is usually stored under high pressure as Compared Natural Gas (CNG).

Hey mate !

!! Natural Gas !!

Natural Gas is formed by anaerobic fermentation of organic matter buried under Seabeds millions of years ago.

Natural Gas is a mixture of gaseous Hydrocarbon consisting of methane (85%) and a mixture of ethane , propane , butane with traces of carbon dioxide, Nitrogen, oxygen and Hydrogen Sulphide.

It is found in deep in earth crust either alone or along with crude oil and middle East. In Our country (India) it's found in offshore areas of Mumbai, Krishna-Godavri Delta , Jaisalmer Etc. The total deposits of Natural Gas in India are estimated at over 100 billion cubic metres.
