Answer:

A Naxal or Naxalite (/ˈnʌksəlaɪt/) is a member of any political organisation that claims the legacy of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist), founded in Calcutta in 1969. ... The term Naxal derives from the name of the village Naxalbari in West Bengal, where the Naxalite peasant revolt took place in 1967.

Answer:

Naxalism started in the year 1967 in the small village of Naxalbari of West Bengal. It was the small and localised movement of peasants of the village against the suppressin of local landlords of the region. The poor farmers and tribes were not satisfied with the local land system and were exploited with the hands of local landlords. The initials leaders were Charu Majumar and Kanu Sanyal.

Today when we think about naxalism it comes to our mind that the movement with was local once has engulfed aboout 2/3 part of Indian states .The movement has become armed struugles in present day and it has not been limilted to local area but it is affecting the whole India .Nearly 2/3 of Indian forest cover are under naxals control. The area from the Andhra Pradesh ,Madhya Pradesh ,Chattisgarh,Orrisa,Bihar,West Bengal, and some parts of Uttar Pradesh even are affected by naxals. The area is known as Red Corriodor .

The rise of naxalism is not a few years phenomnon. It was a gradual movement. Many reasons have led to the growth of naxalism such as local exploitation ,not useful government policies ,dissatisfied local population, extreme poverty, continous arms smuglling and even brain washing of the local poor peoples against the government of India.Today we hear in the news channel that every now and then there is encounter between naxals and security forces.Dantewada incident of killing 75 CRPF personnels by naxals is the black day in the country. There have been many incidents such from sukma to dantewada to palamu in jharkhand.

The main point is to think that why the peope of same country are fighitng against the security forces of their own nations. The security forces which should be ideally invloved to protect their citizens are deployed to kill their own people. What can be more concerning for the nation whose prime minister had to say that naxalism is the gravest threat to the innternal security of the country. If we ponder on the issue we will realise that if the issue had been solved and dealt seriuosly at the beginning itself the case would not have been so grave as today. The ignorance on the pat of government agencies and exploitation of locals have led to the naxals growth. The rise of naxals is because they have and edge of fighting in their locality in their forest known area where police are not ........
