A tide in which the difference between high and low tideis the least. Neap tides occur twice a month when the Sun and Moon are at right angles to the Earth. When this is the case, their total gravitational pull on the Earth's water is weakened because it comes from two different directions.

2⃣High tide ➡️ High tides is caused by the moon. The moon's gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. The tidalforce causes Earth—and its water—to bulge out on the side closest to the moon and the side farthest from the moon
