In 1913 , Bohr proposed his quantized shell model of an atom .In the Bohr model of an atomeectrons travel in definine circular orbits
around nucleus . The orbits are labelled by an integer ,the quantum number n .Electrons can jump from one orbit from another by emitting or absorbing energy

POSTULATES OF BHOR'S ATOMIC MODEL.....
1)electron revolve around the nucleus in fixed orbits .Each orbit associated with certain amount of energy named-'energy levels'

2)integer n represents the various energy level 1,2,3......starting from inner most . The levels are also designed as K,L,M.....

3)as long as electron rotates in one of the energy level it neither loses or absorb energy....
