Brother/Sister, I am having something which may help you.

AS PER WEBSITES-

Neurons (also called neurones or nerve cells) are the fundamental units of the brain and nervous system, the cells responsible for receiving sensory input from the external world, for sending motor commands to our muscles, and for transforming and relaying the electrical signals at every step in between.

AS PER MY BOOK, ICSE 7TH GRADE BIOLOGY:-

The nervous system is made up of special cells called nerve cells or neurons.

A neuron is made up of two main parts ----- (1) a main cell body called cyton, which gives out a number of fine processes (dendrites). (2) a long process called axon.

The cell body contains a nucleus. The dentrites are cytoplasmic extensions of the cell body. They receive messages (impulses) from the organs and transmit them through the cell body into the axon, which transmits the message. the end of the axon terminates in a number of branches called terminal branches.

Hopes so that it will help you,

(-: WITH LOVE :-)

Thanking you, your one of the Brother of your 130 Crore Indian Brothers and Sisters.
