A neutral salt is a salt which doesn’t display acidic or alkaline character, I.e. its pH is about 5-7.

Eg. Sodium Chloride (NaCl)

SquareRoot256: Not always
SquareRoot256: A strong acid and a weak base give an acidic salt

A salt is formed by the chemical reaction between an acid and a base.

A neutral salt is formed by the complete replacement of the replaceable hydrogen ion of an acid molecule by the basic radical.

Ex: 2NaOH (base)  +  H2SO4 (acid)  ---->   Na2SO4 (neutral salt)  +   2H2O

More examples :- NaCl, KNO3, CaBr2 etc...
