A chemical reaction between an acid and base leading to the formation of salt and water is called Neutralisation reaction.

Eg- 1. NaOH (aq) +HCl(aq) --= NaCl(aq) + H2O(l)

2. Mg(OH)2 +H2SO4 --= MgSO4 + 2H2O
