\textbf{ANSWER:}

<b><u>After the fall of kingdom of Maharaja Ranjit Singh morale of the Sikhs was down .They started drifting away from teachings of Sikh gurus and adopted many Hindu practices. Many movements started to preserve Sikhism. First one being Nirankari movement which was started by Baba Dyal in 1783.

Nirankaris movement started as reform movement in Sikhism but with passage of time they became anti-Sikh and started believing in bodily form of gurus.
