Nitrogen fixation is a phenomenon where nitrogen is cycled in the environment, specifically on soil. Nitrogen gas is not found usually on soil but we find nitrogen on soil as compounds. In high temperature Nitrogen reacts with Oxygen and forms (NO)x and (NO)x forms different types of Nitro-acids. When lightning strikes, Nitrogen gets enough heat to react with Oxygen and forms compounds that goes directly to the land. These components help plants and trees to live. When trees die(decomposed) the nitrogen gets to be it's original gas form and return to the environment.
