Noble metals refers to those metals which do not corrode easily and can't be attacked by acids and remain almost unreactive.

All corrosion - resistant metals are considered to be noble metals.

Examples : Gold, Platinum etc.

A mixture is prepared to dissolve such noble metals which is termed as Aqua regia. It is a mixture of 3 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and one part of concentrated nitric acid. It is also termed as king's water or Royal water. It is a highly corroded mixture.
